Battery Law (BattG) Information for customers
According to the German Battery Act (BattG), we, as retailers, are obligated to inform our customers about the proper disposal of used batteries and rechargeable batteries. As a consumer, you are legally required to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries to ensure environmentally sound disposal. Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste, as they contain harmful substances that can damage the environment and human health. To protect the environment and conserve resources, we ask you to observe the following information regarding the disposal of used batteries and rechargeable batteries: Return options: You can return used batteries and rechargeable batteries free of charge to designated collection points near you. Many cities and municipalities have corresponding collection containers or recycling centers. Even when purchasing new batteries and rechargeable batteries from our online shop, you are obligated to return the used batteries and rechargeable batteries. You can return them either directly to us or to a suitable collection point near you. Labeling requirement: Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out trash can. Below this symbol, you will also find the chemical symbol of the hazardous substance: "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Hg" stands for mercury, and "Pb" stands for lead. Data protection when disposing of batteries and accumulators: Please ensure that you delete your personal data from the devices to be disposed of before handing them in. We thank you for your cooperation in protecting our environment and resources. If you have any questions about the disposal of batteries and accumulators, please do not hesitate to contact us.
